The X-T100 is still pretty new. I like that camera. It seems to be a little more compact than the other models like X-E3, X-T10/20. It´s only a smidgen but it´s always a ride on a razor blade to have a comfortable and safe feeling for the grip and not to have a large and bulky housing.
I tried it with a lot of lenses and the heavier they are the more raises the fear of dropping. In many cases I don´t use a strap. Perhaps it would reduce my anxiety. But let´s have a look what could be a second option: a very light and small grip, perfect integrated in the design of the camera!
Congratulation to Fuji X-T100
Now we have a new camera to regard – Fuji X-T100. First impressions are brilliant. Good camera at a good price-performance ratio! We are certain – there will be a lot of admirers for this model. Perhaps only as back-up camera but so what? And Tekiac is also ready to improve old manners of typical problems. Where is the eyecup?
The last holiday I took my new X-E3 with me. For sure, it´s a fantastic camera, but it needs not much time and I was disappointed because of the missing eyecup. I was photographing with a lot of sun and light around me. Best weather for great moments which I want to catch. Ok perhaps I am a fool because it´s not the first time and I am no beginner in photographing. But now I have verified that it´s not possible to shoot without an eyecup. I love to use manual lenses and focos peaking. Regardless of the peak colour you cannot see it anymore.
Always using one hand to cover the light… no way! More particularly if you are shooting manually because you need your hand to focus the lens. So one hand covers the light, the other one turn the focus… but my tongue is not long enough for the trigger!
Imagine… you are holding your camera. You are waiting for hours for the perfect moment to shoot. Perhaps you only want to see a bird landing, feeding its offspring in the sunrise, but maybe you are a war correspondent and you are surrounded by bombs dropping next to you. Both are examples of our customers. And while you are waiting, you and your camera are always on standby. And then… just before the moment arrives – the low battery symbol lights up.Read more
The Fuji X-E3 is relatively new and it´s hard to get a nice case. So we accept the challenge and created a cover in our popular full-body style, well-known for Leica Q users.
What do I noticed first when I take the camera with the new case? It´s the amazing and exceptional feeling of safety when you hold the camera in your hands. The original grip is really small even if my hands are small too. The improvement if you compare with and without cover will be extreme. Never thought that the difference will be so huge. It´s hard to believe and you will only understand it if you try it. Especially for street photographing it will be a big advantage.
As soon as you use telephoto lenses or other heavy objectives you will know what I mean – you lost the safe grip of compact cameras because the whole body is small, also the grip. But we prove that it´s possible to have a small body with a comfortable grip AND a beautiful look!
So you will know about the problem with the dioptre compensation of your camera!
Just adjusted and it takes only a few seconds to nullify everything. What has happened? In most cases you only pocket the camera into the bag! It will suffice for an unintentional adjustment! But now there is a solution to avoid that!
The Dioptre Compensation Securing by Tekiac!
In X-T10/20 class of course there is an optical viewfinder, but what´s about a eyecup? I prefer phototgraphing with an eyecup. No annoying reflections and you can concentrate on the essentials – namely photographing. We were recherching on the internet but find no adequate product for our requirements.

The cover for Leica Q is now tested more than a year. It accompanied me on every trip I did. I removed it only to check if there is any dirt between cover and camera. But it fits perfectly and tightly and so it avoids nearly all intrusions of any impurities.
One user asked about possibilties of connection to different systems. Of course there is the screw thread on bottom but a new idea was born – we want more than standards!
Hello folks, today’s blog is about an idea of another cover for the Leica Q. The first Leica I bought at all! And I was impressed immediately and test it a lot and took several photos. While using I noticed some things where I thought: „It’s good, but it gets even better!“ Thus the idea originated to design the perfect cover for the Leica Q.
